A film crew and a nervous young director craft an expressive dance scene. A quietly observant exploration of a film set, “Proscenium,” directed by Georgia Evenson, portrays the filmmaking process with a shifting POV. The crew settles into place and “Action!” is called. We linger on behind-the-scenes details over a series of breaths from the lead performer. At the end of the take, the director confers with the dancer and the second take offers an entirely new perspective. Evensen’s film vividly captures a mood, a blend of nervous energy, inexperience, and creative bonding. -KA. Director: Georgia Evensen. Cast: Olivia Sprague, Asha Manthena, Liliana Chomsky. DP: Logan Watts. Editor: Georgia Evensen. Producers: Georgia Evensen, Annibelle Washburn, Kelsey Sha. Production Designer: kv Van Buskirk.
