An elderly man spends his days watching livestreams as his upstairs neighbors quarrel. “Rolling By,” directed by Nicholas Facchini, is a poignant portrait of loneliness that slowly creeps towards an emotional wallop. Toggling between livestreams on a dated desktop computer, the man checks in on bird nests in Gloucester, Ma, and a karaoke stage in New Orleans. He seems particularly intrigued watching the pub crawlers wander around a bar district in Dublin, Ireland. Along with his attention to far-flung locales online, he’s also unwittingly surveilling a young couple who live on the floor above him. He can’t help but hear their increasingly volatile fights and the outside world threatens his quiet reflection. -KA. Director: Nicholas Facchini. Cast: Thomas O'Hanley, Evan Arbic, Dez Boutcher. DP: Ben Roberts. Editor: Nicholas Facchini. Producers: Dez Boutcher, Evangeline Y Brooks, Nicholas Facchini. Executive Producer: Stefan Kuchar. Re-Recording Mixer: Liam Murphy.
