An overwhelmed woman caring for her schizophrenic mother tries to take a moment for herself while picking up her mother's backordered medication. Daniel Aguilar directs “Uneasy Moments,” an expressionistic snapshot of a Latino family’s struggle with mental illness. Diana is exhausted from taking care of her mother, prone to outbursts and insults. When a friend offers to help for the day, she takes them up on it. But just as Diana finally slips into a moment of tranquility, she receives an emergency phone call. Shot on an outdated camcorder, which creates a blurred intensity, it’s a haunting family portrait. -KA. Writer, Editor, & Director: Daniel Aguilar.
