When a man loses a couple’s dog while house sitting, he’ll do whatever it takes to get their beloved pup back. “DogHouse,” directed by Jon Plester, takes consequences to an extreme, sending a normally nonchalant individual into an uncharted human experiment. In a rush, Chris and Hannah depart for an out-of-town wedding, leaving Jake, hired from an app, in charge of their house and presumably their dog. Upon return, the couple inquires about their dog. The man is confused, adamant he was tasked with watching a house, not a dog. Eventually agreeing to the mistake and desperate to make it right, Jake agrees to undergo a cutting-edge transformation. Elaborate scientific machinery and electronic humming makes it all seem real, and the manic deliveries of the cast add to the hilarity. -JM. Director: Jon Plester.
