A group of young French women discuss female ejaculation at the intersection of myth, expectation, and personal experience. "Fontis Nympha,” directed by Ina López, is a wonderfully open exploration of sexuality - a mixture of documentary, narrative, educational, and avant-garde filmmaking. The women detail recent sexual encounters as the conversation flows between real-life storytelling, representations of sex in pornography, and disparities between male and female pleasure. As the film reaches back to historical conceptions of sex through early textbooks and ancient fables, it expands its scope thematically and visually.
