Four friends discover hidden cameras at their Airbnb in Los Angeles. Brooklyn comedy group Simple Town and Andrew DeYoung collaborate to present “AirBnb,” a sketch film about a surveillance breach that exposes a secret animosity. Felipe, Will, Sam, and Caroline enter their Airbnb in L.A., just in town for a few days. Paranoia begins to spread as they discover oddly-hidden cameras around the home. Before long, Sam realizes he may have been caught on camera saying disparaging comments about the rest of the group and fears the footage will be accessible to view. Simple Town co-directs with Andrew DeYoung, an early NoBudge favorite who has worked extensively with Kate Berlant, John Early and others. This is Simple Town’s fourth short on NoBudge, after “La Piscina,” “Scary Car,” and “Town Meeting.” -JM. Director: Andrew DeYoung & Ian Faria. Cast: Felipe Di Poi, Sam Lanier, Will Niedmann, and Caroline Yost. VFX: Alex Bliss. Mixed: Nat Jenkins.
