An L.A. couple navigates their communication issues at the expense of those around them. “Belay On,” directed by Johnny Frohman, is a relationship comedy starring Al Warren and Molly Wurwand as bickering partners preparing for a weekend climbing trip. Gearing up at an outdoors supply store before hitting the road for the southern California mountains, the two disagree on everything from the color of their eyes, to when to say thank you, or how hard to throw something. When the stakes aren’t too high, they manage, but once they finally hit the rocks, so does the trust in their relationship—especially when they are called on to help another climber. Warren and Wurwand rally back and forth as tension builds until they reach a literal edge. -JM. Director: Johnny Frohman. Cast: Al Warren, Molly Wurwand, Anna Seregina. DP: Robby Piantanida.
