A sound artist at a residency in the woods becomes increasingly paranoid after an eerie discovery and bizarre run-in with conspiracy theorists. Linda Mai Green directs “Mondegreen,” a mysterious portrait about an artist’s spiraling state of mind. Maggie attends a residency in isolation, lodged in a Northern California cabin. During the day, she ventures into the surrounding nature, gathering audio recordings from the environment. Listening to playback one afternoon, Maggie comes across a noise that’s hard to classify. Later, when she comes across two strangers passing through the property, her suspicion and paranoia lead to a disturbing incident. Green frames the story as a mix of thriller and sci-fi, a sharp account of an artist in a frazzled state. -JM. Writer/Director: Linda Mai Green. Cast: Marcie Rich, Lilia Harlin.
