After being fired as a school administrator, a man turns to modeling to spread the word of God. “Seth’s Prayer,” directed by Danny Scharar, is a ludicrous comedy about unblinking faith and Christian ambition. Canned from his job for trying to indoctrinate children with his religious beliefs, Seth takes it as a sign from heaven and vows to become a famous model. On the internet, he finds a local photographer by searching “Christian photographers near me,” and sets out to take the world by storm. But when the supremely confident Seth (“I gain muscle at will, and own over thirty shirts”) begins to feel the economic pressures and temptations of the devil, doubt filters in. The film is a showcase for Eric Rahill playing Seth, a performance filled with impeccable line reads and all-in commitment. -KA. Director, Writer, Editor, Producer: Danny Scharar.
