A suicidal woman’s life changes when she encounters a man-sized Furby. Nicole Daddona and Adam Wilder direct the absurd comedy, “Sexy Furby,” a bonkers tale of love and death. After being orphaned by the passing of her mother and the more recent death of her father, a woman prepares to call it quits herself. That is, until fate strikes in the form of an anthropomorphized Furby toy. She falls in love and so begins the eternal cycle of passion, dependence, resentment, and falling out. The only question is, upon which of these, will the story end. Reveling in its unhinged conceit, the film is brimming with color and visual pizazz and unafraid to lean into nonsensical zigzags and ludicrous mask/prop making. -KA.
