A twenty-something filmmaker and actor, Zoë, is making a movie based on her attraction to another woman. “Untitled Movie,” directed by Annie Brennen, is a layered meta comedy, an exploration of sexuality and the creative process. Currently in a relationship with a man, Zoë fantasizes about kissing a woman and sets out to create a film project enabling her to investigate her feelings. She sets out to raise money (*asks her parents), and builds a team to flesh out the idea. The film is a bit of a departure from Brennen’s previous project as a writer/performer, “Fauxmous: A New, Very Good Web Series” (2020), a lighthearted romp of rapid-fire wordplay and inspired silliness. The new one dials back the madcap energy, ushering in intimate levels of vulnerability while still maintaining her charismatic delivery. -KA. Director, producer, writer, editor: Annie Brennen. Cast: Annie Brennen, Soraya Sebghati, DeVaughn Taylor, Sophie Neff, Lauren Gold, Hank Kulesa, Amy Rachlin, Tim De La Motte. DP: Taylor Russ. Score: Kyle Rodriguez.
