After clearing a scattered archive of voicemails, a woman reconnects with a frequent caller. Allie Viti’s “Your Mailbox is Full” is a candid 16mm snapshot of Brooklyn, narrated by a colorful spectrum of voices. There are spam messages from Publisher’s Clearing House and auto insurance companies, et al, mixed in with personal messages from friends and medical providers. Recurring messages from her father eventually pan out into some quality time on a three-wheel motorcycle. We settle into a lovely sonic space (music by Simon Hanes) as vivid impressions of New York wash over us in simple but quietly poignant ways. -JM. Director: Allie Viti.
