Don't Get Me Wrong
Animation, Short Films, 20-Jan-2026
A young man becomes obsessed with a mysterious device that allows him to hear every bad thing anyone has ever said about him. Corey Sherman directs “Don’t Get Me Wrong,” an animated dark comedy where a man’s newfound access to surveil his so-called friends sabotages his sanity. When Neil returns home to his apartment one day, he finds a 50-inch TV sitting outside the door. After deciding to bring it inside and turn it on, he watches in disbelief. Each channel is broadcasting people in his life talking shit about him, some re-runs from the past and others streaming live. It’s hard to turn away, and the feed sends him into a crazed state of being. The nightmarish predicament dives deep into the fears and anxieties between an individual and their inner circle. -JM.
