An obsessive, lingerie fashion designer becomes transfixed by the flesh of her model. Madison Bloom directs “All your Women Things,” a body horror where gruesome violence interrupts the ice-cold of a studio session. Anna examines the backside of her model, Candace, who fits herself into a lingerie set. We watch from the designer’s perspective. Making adjustments with a pair of stainless steel scissors, she goes through the motions of her craft, appearing wan and hollow-eyed. The image of a human figure slowly registers as something other. Spacing out further and further, Anna accidentally pricks Candace with her scissors. They reach the final piece of the day, and there’s an anatomical quality to it, both highly disturbing and, for Anna, inspiring. Intimacy between designer and model is sterilized completely.
