Comedy, Short Films, 08-May-2026
A rising star battles an established legend at the 2025 North American Scrabble championships. Jeff Braun’s “Greatest Scrabble Game of All Time” is a comedy where a tense meeting of the minds leads to the ultimate play of a single word. Two-time champion Doug Edley faces newcomer Kenneth Appell. The first word on the board? “Penis.” The next one? Also “penis.” Minutes later, it’s still the only word we see, formed in every direction and varied sizes. The bustling backdrop of a multicultural food court and a simple overlay graphic add to the comic absurdity. -JM. Director: Jeff Braun. Cast: Jack McLennan, Jeff Braun, Joey Bednarski. Producer: Noah Broch. Props: Kris Ortiz.
