A young woman makes a documentary about her affair with an older filmmaker. Shae Sennett directs “The Honest Movie,” a docu-fictional satire driven by self-absorbed creatives and their snappy exchanges. Ben, her boyfriend, comes over, Agnes leaves, and a quietly positioned camera records. Finch explains to Ben that she recently cheated on him with an older filmmaker named Randal; later that evening, Finch and Randall get together. Captured in naturalistic points of view, Sennett arranges a confident consideration of self-reflective filmmaking and its contradictory nature -JM. Director: Shae Sennett.
