A young woman becomes flustered when her boyfriend refuses to help prepare for an upcoming trip. Surreal moments begin to add up — Alex’s tooth falls out, an entire body of water lies just outside her window. Dauterman nails the feeling of a nightmare, say when your partner becomes inexplicably uncaring, or when the whole scene changes without warning.
Written and directed by Mary Dauterman. Starring Rachel Sennott and Timothy Platt. Leah Donnenberg, Sarah Donnenberg, and Kirstin Vanskiver. Cinematography by Kenny Suleimanagich. Edited by Lindsey Nadolski. Assistant Camera Julia Pitch. Production Design Zebah Pinkham. Gaffer Lorenzo Pace. Grip Emma Penrose. Colorist Ayumi Ashley.
