Horror, Short Films, 25-Oct-2022
A woman is having a mental breakdown in her bathroom when her past and future selves appear in the mirror. Ella May Sahlman and Kyle Kallman direct “Crimson Mirror,” experimental horror crafted with gothic flourish built around an intensely despairing lead performance from Flora Wildes. The young woman appears in the mirror horrified by her existence. Soon, visions of herself as an older woman and a young girl emerge; the three look for signs of hope regarding what life has been or will become. The film brims with poetic anguish in its unrestrained performances, looping questions, and gory visuals. -KA. Directors: Ella May Sahlman & Kyle Kallman. Starring Flora Wildes. Director of Photography: Josh Jason. Editor: Neal Wynne. Producer: Ella Weil.
