A dogged reporter is determined to get to the bottom of a mysterious town's secrets, as well as her own. Amy Zimmer writes and stars in “A Riveting Thriller” (dir: Doron Max Hagay), a satirical mini-noir tracking a weary woman holed up in her car, snacking on white chocolate pretzels, sipping on Nesquik, and watching for god knows what. She’s been up for days in search of the truth, ruminating on all things “lost in this town,” occasionally straying into tangents on sandwiches or pizza parties. We gradually begin to see hints of what’s brought her to this moment and where she’s heading from here, and of course, it ain’t pretty. Zimmer also wrote and starred in last year’s “Sneakers,” where she plays a nervous shoe designer pitching to a shoe company, and co-stars in “I Love My Friends,” directed by Lorelei Ramirez. -KA.
Directed by Doron Max Hagay. Written by and starring Amy Zimmer. Director of Photography: Eric Schleicher. Editor: Michael Mezzina. Featuring Edy Modica, Francesca D'Uva and Angelo Balassone. Hair & Makeup: Angelo Balassone.
