While hunting for psychedelic mushrooms in the Welsh hills, an eccentric couple hashes out the terms of an open relationship. Richey Beckett directs a script by Johanna Warren (who also stars)—“FENCED” is a provocative comedy that follows a radically honest conversation through lush open fields. Hoping to reach mutual understanding, Georgia presents her husband, Scott, with an extreme sexual scenario. The man cheekily deflects, more interested in their hunt for mycelium and capturing the hillside terrain on his Super 8mm camera. The debate continues and Georgia eventually finds herself silenced by the environment. We observe the couple, mostly in a series of wide, floating frames as the backdrop and musical composition offer a serene contrast to the discussion at hand. -JM. Director: Richey Beckett.
