A skater is offered a job by a mysterious businessman. Jon Ryan Sugimoto directs “Full Time,” a social satire on corporate America and modern work culture where a recent high-school graduate is given a lucrative opportunity: to stand in a square all day for the rest of his life. Still in their graduation gowns, three friends hop off a bus and skate the courtyard in front of Brooklyn Borough Hall. As they hangout and banter, they’re suddenly encountered by a slick-haired man in a suit. The man asks if the friends can help with a vague task, and while they remain mostly hesitant, one of the young men agrees. The task simply requires him to stand within the edges of one of the many concrete courtyard panels for several hours. If he does, he will be given a wad of money. Soon, days pass by, minor “promotions” occur, and eventually, life flashes. Unafraid to clearly announce its commentary, Sugimoto’s parable spurs reflection on a well-shared conundrum of life vs. work. -JM. Writer: Jon Ryan Sugimoto. Director: Jon Ryan Sugimoto. Producer: Ellen Burke. DP: Jackson Jarvis. Cast: Andrew Lutheran, Iddo Goldberg, Neal Unger, Belle Aykroyd, Tucker Elkins, and Fidel James Gonzalez.
