The chronicles of a man and his response to three harrowing voicemails. Jack McLennan and Judd Crud’s “Glove Life” is a fast-moving comedy following a man-child on the brink of self-detonation. Still wearing his finger-lit LED gloves as he wakes up, Trent gets a voicemail from his girlfriend—he’s getting dumped. Barely paying attention, he rummages out of bed and into the kitchen to cook breakfast where he gets another voicemail from work—he’s getting fired. Finally, and worse of all, is a third voicemail from his glove-dancing team captain—he’s getting kicked off the team. The man slowly self-destructs in the real world, only to fall into a hallucinogenic state of gloving euphoria. It’s an unhinged look at indolence, the repercussions, and dissociation from reality. -JM. Director: Jack McLennan, Judd Crud. Cast: Jack McLennan, Claire Hyman, Clare Ruddy, Chris Laychak, Lou Bisio, Bud Crud. DP: Judd Crud. Sound: Bud Crud. Edited by: Judd Crud. Score: Court Willis, Luke Leavitt.
