A girl sends a sexually explicit DM to her celebrity crush. In Kitty McVicar’s “I Swear to God I’m not Crazy,” a young woman from Worcester, Massachusetts attempts to craft a raunchy video through a series of peculiar role-played performances and an amusing narration. Piper Conley stands in front of a red backdrop showcasing herself for the unnamed celebrity. A series of titillating poses are weaved together with iMovie graphics, a Prezi presentation, and intimate anecdotes. As zany as this character and her sex video are, the film retains a real sense of vulnerability as if it was recently recovered from the trash bin of a 2015 MacBook Air. -JM. Director: Kitty McVicar.
