Trapped in a strange world reminiscent of a video game, a man attempts to get home to his wife while dreaming of a man who is trying to do the same thing. “Interior Night,” directed by and starring Adam Bernet and Rob Price, is a surreal portrait of dissociation. A man named John sits at a desk, dazed. Eventually he remembers he needs to call his wife and plan for their anniversary dinner. By the time he walks a loop around his office, however, he loses his bearings, sits down to rest, and dreams of a man in a similar existential predicament. An avant-garde oddity fixated on, among other things, movement and pose, it’s a film that could be viewed as subtly funny in its extreme fogginess, occasional melodrama, and dream logic. With its stilted manner and mind-bending shifts, though, it lands most comfortably in the realm of unclassifiable. Written, Directed and produced by Adam Bernet and Rob Price. Starring Rob Price and Adam Bernet, Jakob Prewitt (voice), Kristina Epenetos, Andromache Voutsa, Bridget Lappin (voice). Director of Photography: Jack Mealing.
