Comedy, Short Films, 06-May-2024
An accidental suitcase swap at the airport baggage claim puts a corporate underling's career—and life—in jeopardy. Home Planet, the comedy duo of Joe Gleason and Alex Forrest, present “Junior Associate,” which satirically amalgamates a medley of thriller tropes into a sketch-style film. Alex Sherman tensely packs a metallic briefcase within a larger, metallic luggage case. Inside the case are the “Stevenson” documents; they’re essential to the “merger.” After Alex arrives in New York City, there’s a mix-up between him and a conspicuous bald-headed man, leading to a sprawling mess. Situating its comedy within a straightforward action premise, the film gets a lot of mileage from deviating away from the formula. We previously featured "Boyfriend's Boyfriends" from Home Planet. -JM. Director: Joe Gleason Writer: Alex Forrest & Joe Gleason Cast Alex Forrest, Patrick Doran, Caleb Pitts, Anthony Giordano DP and Producer: Johnny Frohman Executive Producer: Cam Shaw.
