After a job interview, Main arrives home to a chaotic scene involving her little brother and a warlock-wannabe neighbor. Abigail Bruley directs “Main Absolves,” an enigmatic comedy about a young woman at odds with her family / life. She didn’t get the job that her parents thought was a done deal, and when they hear the news, they are up in arms. Main doesn’t seem to care. After brushing aside her brother (who is listening to a self-motivation audio book while running a valet parking service in their front lawn), she disappears by the pool, gets high, and thinks about her life choices. When a pale, long-haired neighbor jumps into the water naked, claiming he’s “just passing through to absolve,” it breaks Main out of her stupor momentarily. Bruley stars alongside a cast of enthusiastic oddballs. Director: Abigail Bruley. Cast: Abigail Bruley, Shane Barbera, Richard Templeton, Julie Chapin, Terrence Gleason, Randall Gort, Ryan Kerrigan. Director of Photography: Drew Saracco. Editor: Shane Barbera, Ricky Christian.
