Two stoner BFFs engage in an unusual routine to accrue the capital needed to sustain their lifestyle. “Salesmanship,” directed by and starring Brooke Bundy and Helen Rogers, is a stylized snapshot of being broke and aimless. Minimally plotted but energetic, it’s built with flashy musical sequences and sassy performances. After getting really stoned and dancing around their apartment, the young women realize their rent is due. Only one possibility comes to mind for some quick cash. Meanwhile, a life of higher meaning and purpose seems attainable for some, including a TV spiritual guru urging viewers to call the number on the screen. It’s a self-assured grab bag of tones and themes, erratic, elliptical and transgressive. -KA. Director, Cast, Editor, Writer: Brooke Bundy. Director, Cast, Story: Helen Rogers.
