A lonely neurotic orders a gimmicky calendar from TikTok hoping it'll inspire him to change his life but it completely backfires. “Terry’s Calendar,” directed by Chris Connor, is a jumpy comedy about the existential meltdown of a mustached man in his thirties who thinks he’s dying. After ordering a “Life Visualization” calendar, Terry is dismayed to discover that his copy is shorter than the one he saw online. He calls customer service, a new calendar is sent, and this one’s even shorter. Sensing the calendar may have a mystical awareness of his mortality, he enters a frantic spiral of paranoia that can’t be quelled by his vacationing mother, an emergency colonoscopy, or a terminally ill influencer who keeps showing up in his feed. With its unsettling synth score, tumbling momentum, and feverous performance by Nate Pringle, the film nails the feeling of uncontrollable panic. -KA. Writer and Director: Chris Connor.
