A group of friends and collaborators theorize about their recent test shoot. Filmmaking collective, Babbling Brook, presents “TEST SHOOT 2,” a satirical mumblecore snapshot on half-baked creative endeavors and meandering procrastination. Over a FaceTime call, two filmmakers discuss the film we’re about to watch. Fain wakes up in the middle of the night; he thinks about a movie he’s recently seen. In one browser window, he plays online chess; in another, he listens to an Apichatpong Weerasethakul interview about the film “Memoria.” With an approach that’s highly meta, the film offers plenty of naturalistic back-and-forths with innate humor and a familiar feeling of lethargy. -JM. Director: Babbling Brook. Cast: Harrison Atkins, Wyatt Fair, Daniel Johnson, Kati Skelton.
