A graphic designer endures a hostage situation disguised as a feedback meeting. Logan Fields directs “BOLD,” a workplace comedy peeking into the cringey confines of a branding conversation. She’s three matchas in and feeling a little jittery when her boss bangs on her table with feedback on the V13 mockups. He explains the font choice is feeling too masculine and proceeds to ramble in defense of his pro-woman, anti-toxic-masculinity stances. Dissonant piano keys and a ticking percussion suggests an in-coming crash out, as the young woman is forced into compliance. Running at 3 minutes long, Fields captures the essence of such an exchange—it’s brief but claustrophobic. Rick Darge as the boss is clueless and relentless, and Sarah Ritter, who quietly suffocates, says it all with her nuanced expressions. -JM. Director/Writer: Logan Fields.
