A young woman kills the vibe when she confronts her ex-boyfriend at a party. Michael Calciano directs “But He’s Gay,” a biting comedy about an unraveling social kerfuffle. Maeve arrives to a party eager to make the rounds but everyone is uncomfortable with her presence; eyebrows raise, heads turn. Her ex-boyfriend, Will, is there, joined by his new boyfriend. When an opportunity to toast presents itself, Maeve takes advantage. What follows is a heated exchange between her and the others, where Will’s sexuality is scrutinized and the group’s exclusion of Maeve is interrogated.
