Faced with infinite possibilities, a profoundly indecisive woman attempts to buy a new couch. Lily Citrin directs “Phoebe Getting a Couch,” a comedy about the burden of choice and the battle to define oneself with home decor. Phoebe can’t even decide what she wants at the drive-through fast food joint, much less deciding on a new couch after her old one gets ruined by a collapsed ceiling. Overwhelmed and having to endure an asshole boss and overbearing mother, she scrolls endlessly online for couches, envisioning elaborate scenarios of how they could fit into her life. Rachel Kaly is perfectly flustered playing Phoebe and the film is funny and real, tapping into a relatable condition of modern life. -KA. Director: Lily Citrin. Cast: Rachel Kaly, Rob Benedict. Producer: Madeleine Franck. DP: Joshua Benson. Production Designer: Marcel Préfontaine. Music by: Alexander Artnzen. Editors: Lily Citrin, Cosmo Salovaara. Art Direction: Chloe Stokes.
