Vibrations
Comedy, Sci-Fi, Short Films, 30-Jan-2023
A retired CIA agent fakes being abducted by aliens so that he can abandon his family. Taylor Cohan directs “Vibrations,” an absurdist sci-fi comedy stuffed with ludicrous plotting, off-key performances, and a child-like silliness. The ex-government worker, Vincent, lives with his wife and son, a conspiracy theorist who believes the Grateful Dead was started by the C.I.A. When news hits that an alien species has arrived to earth and negotiated with President Mellonhead to send a group of humans to space, chaos ensues. We featured Cohan a couple years ago with “Dream Center,” and “Sorry For Farting So Much in the Car Growing Up,” both in the same vein of inspired looniness. -KA.
