Buddymovie

Two old friends reunite in the wilderness, over which an angry warehouse holds court. Ryan McGlade directs “Buddymovie,” an absurd comedy that embraces friendship in an uncanny form. After being picked on by a talking warehouse, Big Dump, played by Jeremy Levick, runs off into the wilderness only to stumble upon an old friend from middle school — played by Rajat Suresh. As the two wander, communicating telepathically, the workings and quirks of a banterful friendship emerge. Uplifted by their reconvening, Big Dump finds the courage to return to and challenge the bullying warehouse — this time with his friend. With its bizarre telepathic world, the film by McGlade (who we’ve featured several times previously; see link below) warmly appreciates the feeling of ‘day-one’ friendships formed earlier to adulthood. -Jinho Myung.
