A house dog escapes into the woods at night to follow the psychedelic temptations of the natural world. Our take: “Dog in the Woods,” by directors Christian Chapman and Paul Jason Hoffman, is a dark and trippy adventure straying from the safe confines of domesticity for the wild woods, told from the perspective of the dog. When her owners return home, opening the door to the allure of outside life, the dog rushes out and follows the scent of the unknown. The mind-altering journey takes her further and further away - she peers into an eerie cave, snacks on plants emanating mystical particles, then continues to track down the source, whatever that is. It’s a feast of the senses rendering unseen realms into surreal visions of life and death using an impressive mix of live action and VFX technical wizardry. -KA. Directed, Written, Produced, Shot & Edited by Christian Chapman and Paul Jason Hoffman. Starring Alice Chapman as "Alice the Dog”. Principal Visual Effects Designers: Marc Zimmermann and Andy Thomas. Colorist: Oliver Eid. Sound Design: Cody Troyer.

The Noodle Effect
This glimpse into the everyday moments of ordinary people is a vivid portrayal of mundanity, vulnerability, and frustration. A series of vignettes captured, for the most part, in evocative one-takes. Directed by Brandon Winters.
