A man finds a family of strangers in his house and has an extremely difficult time asking them to leave. A film about avoiding conflict, or something more elaborate perhaps, a metaphor for shifting times? The house you thought was yours is no longer. Either way, it dishes out the cringe-y laughs and some genuinely unsettling moments. His name is Don and he lives a quiet life alone. One night, he orders food and the Chinese place delivers shrimp instead of chicken. When he calls to correct the order, the voice on the other end has no interest in making it right, and so begins the nightmare. When the family of three arrives towing luggage, claiming to have bought the place, Don passively allows it. And when the father needs the couch for his bad back, Don offers to sleep in the bathtub. How far will he let this go to avoid confrontation? Director Willy Berliner melds the comedy with elements of psychological thriller, pumps it full of anxiety. What happens when your nightmare becomes real? No one cares about your food allergies. If strangers wish to move into your house and take over your life, they will. -KA. Directed by Willy Berliner.
