In a series of observational moments, a violist, barre instructor, and chemistry teacher grapple with the realities of working in quarantine. Lydia Cornett directs “Teaching in Quarantine,” a fly-on-the-wall doc portrait of virtual teaching post Covid-19. Requiring a good deal of adaptation, technological and otherwise, and defined by limitations of not being in the same space as your students, it’s an awkward and exhausting switchover. Cornett has a knack for picking subjects and capturing them naturally, and she presents here without narration or editorializing. It’s a vital document of the times which finds subtle ways to engage beyond being purely academic, particularly in a nice closing triptych over a simple viola tune.
