Animation, Short Films, 02-Sep-2022
A medley of overheard banter and personal musings about love and the cliches of love, i.e. “the same little message every night.” Directed by Peter Wagner, “It's All Related!” is an experimental animated film where mundane conversations about nachos, bitcoin, and psychiatry are flavored with a deadpan sense of the absurd. A trip to a theme park is labeled, “Fun Moment,” and that’s also what’s expected out of romantic dinners, movies and such. But it’s all a ride, a slow climb up followed by a sharp descent. Using a text-to-speech computer narration tool, the film tells a fractured love story and break-up story all in one, uniquely animated with a colorful, bubbly sheen style similar to Wagner’s previous short, “Bobby Fish“ (view by clicking director tag below)."What’s your currency?” “My voice of reason.” -KA. Directed and animated by Peter Wagner.
